Privacy Policy

Overview

Kyvenza ("we", "us", "our") builds a native virtualization app for Apple Silicon Macs. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Kyvenza website or application, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect the minimum data required to deliver, support, and bill for the product. We do not sell personal information.

Data we collect

Purchase data

When you purchase a license we collect and store:

• Your email address (used to deliver the license key and for support)
• Billing country and the last four digits of your card, as returned by Stripe
• Stripe Checkout session identifiers and order fulfillment status

Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

License data

Each issued license key contains a signed payload with: a license ID, the tier you purchased, the issuance date, and optionally your email address. This payload is embedded in the license key you install in the app. License validation happens locally on your device using a public key bundled with Kyvenza; Kyvenza does not phone home to validate your license.

App telemetry

Kyvenza.app uses macOS system frameworks only (SwiftUI, SwiftData, CryptoKit, OSLog). Diagnostic logs stay on your device unless you explicitly export them via the Export Diagnostics feature and send them to us for support.

Website analytics

The Kyvenza website may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate traffic (no cross-site tracking, no third-party advertising identifiers). If analytics are in use, the providers and cookie details are disclosed on the relevant pages.

How we use your data

• Deliver the license key to the email you provided at checkout
• Respond to support requests
• Issue refunds, fix fulfillment failures, and prevent fraudulent purchases
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Service providers

We share data with a small number of vendors strictly to run the service:

• Stripe – processes payments and stores billing data
• Cloudflare – hosts the website and the license issuance backend (Workers, D1, R2)
• Resend – delivers transactional email (license delivery and support replies)

These providers are bound by their own privacy and security commitments and act on our instructions as data processors.

Retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as required to support your product entitlement and to satisfy legal / tax obligations (typically 7 years). You may ask us to delete data that is not legally required to be retained.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us using the email below to exercise these rights. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

Kyvenza is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date.
